Yoga is often viewed as exercise for hippies and pregnant mothers, but the health benefits of yoga are so much more than what you might think!

Yoga is generally considered therapeutic exercise. While many focus on the benefits of the mind / body / spirit connection, those who are less enlightened and more physical are learning that yoga really does improve a persons health, stamina, posture, flexibility, and physique.

Physiologically speaking, yoga offers an array of health benefits. It decreases blood pressure, increases cardiovascular ability, respiratory effectiveness as well as dexterity, improves balance, and helps many organ systems function better (such as the endocrine, gastrointestinal, and nervous systems).
